Time of Use (TAS93) Information

This tariff has 2 rates of usage charges Peak and Off-peak to try and encourage less use during peak time to reduce demand on the network. This is reflected in the price being high during peak times and lower in off-peak.

Consumer Energy Resource (TAS97) Information

This tariff has three rates of usage charges, Peak, Off-peak and Super Off-peak. This tariff may be best suited to customers with an electric vehicle, and/or CER such as a household battery.

Please note

Tariff 31, 41, 61 and 22 are now obsolete. Customers with one (or a combination) of these tariffs can retain these tariff structures, however if your connection is already on Tariff 93 or 94 as of 1 July 2024, you will be unable to change your tariff to any of the obsolete tariffs. These obsolete tariffs are also not available for any new connections from 1 July 2024

Electricity Services and Fees FY26/27

From 1 July 2026, the following fees apply to your electricity service. Please note these are charges set and levied by TasNetworks, your electricity distributor, we pass these through to you at cost with no markup.

Moving In and/or Moving Out

A reconnection and/or disconnection fee may apply. These are TasNetworks charges and can vary depending on your circumstances. The standard fee for each is $107.67 (GST incl.), however reconnections can be higher, up to $462.28 (GST incl.) in some cases. Give us a call on 1800 750 750 or contact us and we can walk you through what applies to you.

Special Meter Read

Your meter is usually read automatically, so this fee won't apply to most customers. If a manual read is required, TasNetworks charges a standard fee of $68.07 (GST incl.), which may be higher depending on circumstances.

Other Services and Fees

TasNetworks may apply additional charges for non-standard services specific to your property or situation. We'll always pass these through to you transparently. Call us on 1800 750 750 or contact us to find out more.

Terms

Business hours = Means within business hours, which is before 3 pm on a business day.
After hours = Means after hours, which is after 3 pm, and before 9 pm on a business day, and the customer pays any applicable additional after hours charge.
Business Day = A day that is not a Saturday or Sunday; or a public holiday appointed under the Public Holidays Statutory Holidays Act 2000.
